While Iran was involving in imposed ware (Iran vs. Iraq, 1980-1988) and its various economic and social problems, a number of conscientious engineers who were interested in helping to countrymen, decided to supply a useful and consistent, however petty, service whit respect to essential needs and study in current and future matters of Iran.

   Health, care, economical and foreign exchange saving were some of the priorities that had placed in the top of needs ranking. For this reason and due to the researches done, anesthesia gas was taken into consideration and placed in the head of plans. Circumstances were presented to Ministry Of Health, care and Medical Education (MOHME) through an extensive plan. Both thought and plan were welcomed and approved, and its production justification was communicated to Ministry of Industries. Finally, the letter of agreement was issued by Ministry of Industries, in the name of founders, for anesthesia gas production.

   To realize this goal, establishment of a limited company by the name of Darmangaz, whit the scope of production and distribution of medical gases and chemical materials, was registered in Tehran. Then the factory was constructed in a land about tow hectares in Esfahan. Its construction was started in 1983 (1362 A.H). During the construction, in order to research and purchasing, company managers traveled to Switzerland and visited Socsil Company (the sole manufacturer of anesthesia gas production machinery). They contacted with the mentioned company to buy machinery and its technical knowledge with the specifications of having most advanced world technology and production capacity of 600 tons per year of anesthesia gas.

   In year 1984 (1363 A.H), simultaneously with the completion of production and administrative buildings, the importation and installation of machinery was completed. In the early 1985 (1364 A.H) prelaunch production was started. At first stage a sample of the product was sent to Switzerland for test that its purity and quality was favored so much and approved by Socsil Company.   more
